Are You Visiting Jamaica Soon?

Are You Visiting Jamaica Soon…?

If so, when you visit the Island of Jamaica the best way to travel from get from either Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, or Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston to your desired destination is via a fully licensed taxi and tour operator/driver with Tourism Product Development (TPDCo) certificate, Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) license and contract Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) license (red license plate).

***Note: When first visiting Jamaica in April of 1999, Jamaica roads were riddled with pot-holes and very difficult to travel on, so we flew with traveling companions into Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay and continued to Negril via a domestic Jamaican airline instead of taking the resort provided bus. Our return to Sangster was with the same airline.  When returning the next year, the same method of transportation was utilized.  It was a great experience to see the island of the by air, but it was determined after that to use a taxi and tour operator to see the countryside, and learn more about Jamaica and its people.  On our third visit, a taxi and tour operator transported us from the airport.  He had provided excellent services for transportation and tours during our last trip to Negril.  We never flew again, came back often in year 2000, and I semi-retired to Negril Jamaica in 2001 from the US. Of course, today, Jamaican roads are much better now…!
